Who am I ?
I’ve always been a keen cyclist, in all its forms: road bikes, mountain bikes, all-terrain bikes, tandems, touring or sometimes competing… I love everything about this fantastic mode of transport.
When I was still a teenager, I was a member of the cycle touring club ‘La Pérenchinoise’, taking part in all the local cycle races. I could also spend hours in front of the TV watching every stage of the Tour de France every summer!
A little later, I took up mountain biking: downhill at first, during holidays in the Alps, then in the slag heaps and forests of northern France. I even took part in a few races like the Pyramidale in Wingles (62) and tried my hand at triathlon, in Arras a few years ago.
For several years now, it’s been cycling that attracts me most: I’ve become a real aficionado of “slow tourism”. I’ve been organising my family cycling holidays every summer for 5 years now.
Every year, it’s a real pleasure to plan these holidays: looking for the ideal little road to go for a walk, the terrain that’s not too complicated so as not to bore the children, the activity that will make the day even more enjoyable, the typical restaurant in the area and, of course, the nice bed and breakfast to rest in after a busy day.
So, in 2019, in love with my region, I set off on a 12-day cycling trip with my family to discover some of the region’s hidden treasures.
2019, from Avelin to Eu-Le-Tréport, via Mont Saint Eloi, Vimy, the Baie de Somme and Mers-les-Bains.
In Spring 2021, the Alsace Wine Route in tandem: a short trip of a few days to Strasbourg, along the Rhine, and through the charming villages of Munster, Riquewihr, Turkheim and Kaysersberg.
In summer 2021, the Loire à Vélo ... 10 days between Orléans and Nantes
In spring 2022, a trip to Brittany: a tour of the magnificent Crozon peninsula, taking in the famous customs trail.
In 2022, the Tour de Bourgogne: 5 days around Dijon and Beaune
At the end of 2022, I decided to make this pleasure available to as many people as possible: I decided to start organising cycling trips for anyone who wants to discover or rediscover the Hauts de France region by bike. The idea behind this brand new agency is simple: to offer turnkey trips that are as beautiful as any I’ve experienced. The trips take place over several days on the roads and paths of the region. I create the itinerary and record it in a special application, I book the accommodation for you, and as an option, you can leave with my hire bikes and I organise the transport of your luggage at each stage. So, are you ready for adventure? On your bikes, get set, go!
