General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTC)

ARTICLE 1: PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These terms and conditions govern the sale by Ch’tis voyages à vélo of trips and stays as defined in Articles L.211-1 and following, and R.211-1 and following of the French Tourism Code.

The purchase of trips or stays from Ch’tis voyages à vélo constitutes full acceptance by the client of these terms and conditions, which are considered read and accepted upon signing the quotation.

A detailed list of the services included in the trip will be provided in the quotation sent to the client by Ch’tis voyages à vélo.

ARTICLE 2: ORDER PROCESS

The descriptive information on the Ch’tis voyages à vélo website is intended to inform clients about the services offered before placing an order. Ch’tis voyages à vélo reserves the right to modify the information on the website and brochures, particularly regarding prices and services, in accordance with these terms and conditions.

Clients may register for trips and stays via our advisors (by phone or email).

Booking process:

1. The client selects the desired product(s).

2. Our advisors send a quotation detailing the services and price via email.

3. The client accepts the quotation.

4. If the requested trip is available, the registration is final; cancellation is only possible under Article 4 below.

If the requested services are unavailable, Ch’tis voyages à vélo will propose alternatives. If the client does not accept the alternatives, the contract is terminated and all sums paid are refunded.

ARTICLE 3: PRICES

3.1 Price description

The website specifies what is included and not included in the price. Photos of accommodations are for illustrative purposes only and do not engage Ch’tis voyages à vélo’s responsibility.

Unless otherwise stated in the quotation, the base price excludes transport to the departure point, supplements, drinks, lunches, personal expenses, additional activities, and any services not indicated in the description. Prices may change during the season; the price at the time of registration applies.

Renunciation of certain services by the client does not entitle them to a refund or credit.

3.2 Payment terms

More than 30 days before departure: 30% deposit (50% for groups of 8 or more).
Less than 30 days before departure: full payment or remaining balance.

3.3 Late payment

Non-payment of the balance within 15 days may result in suspension of services. Costs incurred are the client’s responsibility. Ch’tis voyages à vélo is not obliged to maintain availability.

3.4 Payment methods

Payment can be made by bank transfer, cheque, or cash within legal limits.

ARTICLE 4: CONTRACT AMENDMENT, TRANSFER OR CANCELLATION

4.1 Client cancellations or modifications

The client acknowledges that, under Article L.121-20-4 of the French Consumer Code, they do not have a withdrawal right once the quotation is accepted. Services are subject exclusively to the cancellation and modification conditions below.

Cancellation fees after quotation acceptance: 30% of total price.
Additional fees may apply if cancellation occurs within 7 days of departure.
Ch’tis voyages à vélo does not offer travel insurance; clients are advised to obtain their own.

Late arrivals or failure to show at the departure location are the client’s responsibility; fees for transfers or replacements are at the client’s cost.

4.2 Partial cancellations and contract transfer

If a participant cancels before departure, any resulting additional costs are borne by remaining participants. Participants may substitute another traveler up to 7 days before departure.

4.3 Changes by Ch’tis voyages à vélo

Before departure:

Clients will be notified of major changes.
They may either accept the changes or cancel and receive a full refund.
If accepted, a revised quotation is issued.

After departure:

If major changes occur, Ch’tis voyages à vélo will provide equivalent alternatives or refund the price difference.
If no solution is acceptable, Ch’tis voyages à vélo will repatriate the client to the agreed location.

4.4 Group cancellations

Trips may be cancelled due to force majeure or insufficient participants. Clients will be notified at least 30 days prior and refunded if no alternative is accepted. Costs incurred by clients (tickets, accommodation) remain their responsibility.

ARTICLE 5: CYCLING SAFETY RULES

Clients must:

Be able to ride a bike safely and have no contraindications
Follow all traffic rules; helmets are mandatory for children under 12

Ch’tis voyages à vélo will ensure safety via its partners, including altering routes if risks are identified or refusing unfit clients. The company is not responsible for force majeure events or client negligence.

ARTICLE 6: LIABILITY

Ch’tis voyages à vélo cannot be held liable for:

Force majeure events
Acts of third parties
Improper execution of the contract by the client
Services purchased independently by the client

Clients must have valid civil liability insurance to cover potential damages.

ARTICLE 7: MATERIAL DAMAGE

Clients are responsible for the bikes and equipment. Any damage or loss must be covered by the client. A security deposit may be required depending on the rental provider.

ARTICLE 8: WITHDRAWAL AND COMPLAINTS

8.1 Right of withdrawal

No right of withdrawal applies once the quotation is accepted.

8.2 Complaints

Any failure to perform the contract must be reported in writing immediately. Complaints must be sent to:

Responses will be provided within 4 weeks.

ARTICLE 9: PERSONAL DATA

Ch’tis voyages à vélo collects personal data in accordance with the French Data Protection Act of 1978.

Data is used to manage bookings and execute contracts, and may be shared with service providers (hotels, transporters, etc.).
