Hello,
My name is Anne Lise, a French traveller, I’m 42 and I’ve been a fan of cycling holidays for just over thirty years.
I discovered this type of holiday with my parents and I now share this passion with my husband and children.
For me, travelling by bike means :
- Living at a completely different pace from our daily lives.
- Observing our surroundings.
- Getting closer to nature: discovering different environments, birds and animals….
- Discovering an incredible diversity of landscapes in a single day.
Getting to grips with the weather, wind and waves: observing the sky. - Discover different villages, crops and farms.
- Meeting people and talking about our journeys and discoveries.
- Combining holidays and sport.
- Enjoying gourmet breaks.
- Enjoying a beautiful view after the effort of a climb.
- Encouraging mutual support and cohesion within the group.
- Share this activity with your children.

Whatever the organisation, travelling by bike means feeling free. It’s a moment suspended from the hustle and bustle of our busy lives. For me, it’s the only holiday that allows me to completely disconnect from our daily lives. In just 1 week, we feel like we’ve been away for 3 weeks, so rich and varied are the cycling experiences.
If you can, give it a go – you’ll love it, that’s for sure!
